Spanish rivals will have no shortage of supporters in Paris 2024, as 22% of trip reservations are made by nationals of Spain, according to Opodo.
Germany and Italy share the second position with 12% of all bookings.
Although a significant number of Parisians want to relocate to capitalize on the surge in short-term rentals and avoid the expected mayhem during the Games, only 9% of bookings are made by French nationals visiting the city.
The United Kingdom ranks fifth with 7% of bookings, while travel from the UK to Paris has increased by 54% over the previous year.
Paris is the most popular foreign destination for UK tourists this summer, according to further data from travel websites Expedia and Hotels.com. Brits’ searches for hotels in France, even in smaller cities outside the capital, have increased by 654%.
Outside of Europe, the US, Japan, Canada, Australia, Brazil, and South Korea are seeing a sharp increase in searches for French hotels.

The lowest times to fly for British citizens this summer are also revealed by the study conducted by Hotels.com and Expedia.
The greatest deals on international flights are to be found on August 28, although the cheapest domestic tickets in the UK are available on July 28, August 19, and August 23.
If you book your domestic trip on a Wednesday instead of a weekend flight, you may save 20%, and booking your international flight on a Thursday will save you 15%.
